by Teri Wallace

3/4 cup steel cut oats
Whole lotta nuts! 3/4 cup organic hemp hearts + 3/4 cup  chia seeds + 3/4 cup walnut
10 soft dates, seeds removed
1/2 cup raisins
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg

Method:

Soak  steel cut oats overnight completely submerged in filtered water. Drain water from oats and pat dry. Place oats in a food processor with “S” blade until ground up. Remove the oats and add all the nuts into the food processor and grind until coarsely ground. Add the oats back to the food processor and combine with the nuts. Add the remaining ingredients slowly and process until they form a sticky texture, similar to a cookie dough. Take a spoonful, roll into a ball and then flatten into a cookie shape. Place in fridge and enjoy!

POWER to the rutty little Hemp Seeds!

by Teri Wallace

This itty bitty seed nut, which resembles a sesame seed, does pack some stellar nutrients. For breakfast this morning, we like it simple with our a hearty bowl of  our steel cut oatmeal, topped with blueberries, cinnamon and hemp seeds and a steaming cup of roasted hemp fair trade black coffee. Delish!

Try sprinkling 1 – 2, gosh why not 3 tbsp on your morning cereals or porridges and start the day off right!

Hemp itself is a misunderstood little plant, not just for certain dubious members of society; it is a remarkably versatile substance, protective properties, feeds our planet, humans, animals and supports sustainability.

Power to the rutty lil hemp seeds!
